We will explore use-cases which center on sales of "non-fungible assets". We will look at how these solutions could incorporate Web3 capabilities and what metadata is required to support these capabilities.
Ticketmaster,
Zillow
American Airlines
OpenSea
Ticketmaster starts with the traditional navigation of “Concert -> Rock -> Stevie Nicks” and then transcends into a specific concert, the venue, and then the specific seat. In the future this transaction might include a specific parking spot, pre-event dinner reservation and maybe after concert club access.
Zillow real estate site is almost entirely driven from non-fungible asset data (zillow properties). All of the facetted filters on the top are dynamically constructed from raw asset data. The map and list views show individual property assets. The content within these view is constructed from property attribute values.
American airlines starts with a simple product search and then moves quickly into the specific flight, specific passengers and the specific seats on the flight.
Opensea has a traditional Web2 eCommerce sales UI experience even though they are selling NFT on the blockchain. Web3 dApps call to Opensea to execute the transaction.
Opensea supports the buying and selling of metaverse property. In the example below Decentraland is marketing specific parcels of land. The sell goes beyond just buying and selling of general land but includes the specific piece of land with all of its definition. The definition of the land goes beyond simple discrete attributes like “land type” but includes attributes like the “distance to a road” or “distance to a plaza”.
